Creepy, Crawly Things Part 1
I walked across the old floorboards of Mr Dalks house, It was a millionare estate, built in 1947. Mr Dalks has owned it for years, ever since his mother passed away in 1970. Everybody thinks there is something weird about this place and I worked here everyday. People think Mr Dalks is some sort of alien, I suppose he is a bit scary. All the time, "Bring me my tea!" I get kind of sick of it. Lately though, I've been tripping over and smashing plates....
I know there's something wrong, I mean, everyday! Mr Dalks has been acting weird aswell. When he walks past a certain crack in the wall, his legs turn to jelly. Well, I'm meant to be at school today, but I nicked off to spy on Mr Dalks. I know, I shouldn't be wagging school, but it's only maths, that's so easy!
I mean,
1 times 6=6
2 times 6=12
3 times 6=18
4 times 6=24,
you get my drift. Well, if anybody's going to find out what that crack in the wall is, it's going to be me.
I kept on walking, I walked past the photos of his mum and the chandelier that hung from the roof like a crowe devouring its prey. I slowed to a crawl and found myself hearing a slither, like someone was having a shower, but I knew it wasn't. It was coming straight from the crack in the wall.

My Winter Project
For my winter project I have made a model dog house, the first measurements are different to what they were before because my dad reminded me that a dog house is long in depth and short in height. I started by drawing the measurements on the wood, which was hard because the old sheets of MDF Dad had, had crooked edges and then I cut it out. Once that was done, I started to place the shingles on the roof one by one. I found that was quite slow, so I just put glue all over the roof and then pushed the shingles down, (that wasn’t my idea, I’m not that smart with wood).
Once that was done, I had to paint the house itself, I used wood stain to give it a timber effect. Now came the hard part, putting it all together! Making the brackets wasn’t that hard, a friend helped me with that part. Putting it all together was! I held the two sides together while dad hammered the nails in, we had tried glue but that didn’t work. This kept on happening until the structure was built. Next, we had to put little blocks of wood on the bottom so that it would stick to the base. Then the roof went on.
Once it was completely stuck to the base I glued the dirt and the grass on. The problem was, we didn’t have enough grass to cover the whole surface, so I used some old gift parcel and cut a hole in it for the pond. I had to paint it, but we didn’t have any blue paint, so I used some glue that they use on pipes, but I wouldn’t touch it, it’s poisonous, that’s when it’s wet! Next, we put up the clothesline and pegged the photos on, we also put some dog dishes around the front.

Will It Float
Does everything float?
Or does everything sink?
Is it half and half?
These are the questions that are put before us, but is it true? Does everything float? Think of these:
Does soap float?
Can you make a stick sink?
Can you make rubber bands sink?
Will rubber balls float?
Will a ruler sink?
Does slime sink?
Maybe we should put them to the test!

Egg-speriment
This week we have to look after an egg baby until Friday! First, we had to put a little hole in each end of the egg and blow all the yoke out. then we made a little bed out of a plastic container, some tissues and crepe paper. Then we wrote his name (Eddie) on his pillow.
Looking after an egg baby is a very dangerous procedure, here are some of the reasons why.
.It could easily be stood on if left on the ground.
.People might try to crack the egg baby.
I Predict:
some eggs might crack, but who knows my egg baby might just survive!

Alien Planet Invasion Part 1
The news spread FAST, the whole inhabited Earth was going to be attacked by aliens! So, science said that it wasn't going to be attacked until the 25th century, but everyone was getting prepared. "Hi, by the way I DO NOT believe in all of that rubbish! I mean, who believes in aliens anyway? They're like ET, I've never seen one of them in my whole life!
I mean, a real one."
We had just had a beautiful dinner made by my beautiful sister, Louise. When a lightning storm struck, this kept on happening for the next five days. It was like a warning from the aliens to run away, (hey wait a minute, I don't believe in that stuff).
Dad was just coming to pick me up from school when a grey cloud came over us, all of the sudden the sky went black and the power went out. A large lightning bolt set the school on fire. We ran inside as these large, green lava balls erupted from the sky. We hid in the basement as the largest lava ball came down! After the storm we all came outside to find a large crater in the ground. We looked closer and a UFO emergered and the lid fell off.....

Writing Activity Topic: Discovery
The night was cold and dark, the cruel wind howled fiercely, causing something to shatter in the room next to me. I was terrified, but what shattered? My neck stiffened as I tried to lift my head, but I couldn't! I felt as if I was trapped in a doom dimension and I couldn't get out! Check that, I wouldn't dare try to get out!
My jaw dropped as I heard a faint noise in the background.
"Jessie dear! Jess!"
"Oh Mum! I was in the middle of playing my detective game!"
" Well that will just have to wait, it's time for dinner!"
I struggled to get out of bed, as my forehead still hurt from when I hit it on my bedside table.
"It's steak and kidney pie. Although the steak didn't defrost in time, so it's mostly kidney."
"Yeah, more like kidney pie." I muttered under my breath.
I finished eating and turned the TV on.
The news said that there was a giant ruby found in a cave and I was determined to get it! I phoned my friend Alice to tell her the news and my evil plan. She struggled to digest it.
"My Mum will kill me! I don't want to be grounded for my whole life!" Alice replied with fear and trembling hands, so trembling that she dropped the phone. I just had to go by myself!
I pretended to be an extra short scientist, with orange hair and a tiny brain. Somehow, I pulled it off! The head scientist Poindexter, gave me access to the backstage areas. I sneaked under the curtain (being extra short was a huge advantage)! I stole the purple ruby without anyone knowing. Poindexter sure regretted giving me that key!

A Taste of Space!
It was a stormy night in the village of Shaffelfield. There was thunder booming and lightning striking. Sounds of whip cracking and drum playing echoed in the dark, gloomy room. My hands quivered with fright, I was the only person in the house, apart from the dog of course. All of my other friends went to get pizza, but I was too scared to go outside. Then an unusual sound bounced of the walls. I jumped out of my skin, as goosebumps tickled my back. I managed to open the front door....
The rain automatically stopped as I looked up. I spotted a familiar purple glow and out of it came a flashing light heading towards Earth! I froze like a statue as the dog howled. I finally snapped out of it and ran out the back, only to find a sticky launch pad forming out of grass! An alien's spaceship landed right from outer space! It sucked the dog inside and I grabbed hold of her tail.
I was taken to a planet called Zarga, where the chief alien glanced at me and yelled, " An Earthling and a dog? I told you to just get the DOG!"
" The human jumped on too, Lord Zog!" replied the angry assistant.
This was my one time to sneak away and I wasn't taking any chances! I grabbed the dog and hauled myself off the planet, but it wasn't easy. I had aliens chasing me on both sides. I closed my eyes and wished I was home and there I was, just in time for hot pizza!

Mozart
When I listen to Mozart I hear, the evening birds chirping with the wind, a sweet symphony, the wolves howling being carried by the wind and ten roses in song.
I like classical music because, It makes you fly, it turns your heart into a song, it sings softly as it slowly washes you away and sounds like heaven.

An adventure in my neighbourhood
The story begins when my friend came to my house in
Okay so it wasn't at all dangerous or so golden and it wasn't very thrilling, but we were always up for a challenge even though it was just a piece of rust. "How did there come to be a golden saw?" I hear you ask.
Well it all started on the day when all my friends and I were playing in the park, when we spotted the Golden Saw! A very foolish person threw it in the tallest tree and it was never to be seen again! We had been sent on a journey to find that saw.
We packed our bags and sailed off (rode off) into the sunset (the park). We had arrived at our destination and our stomachs were scurrying around for food, so I had to go hunting for our meals. That night we gathered some sticks and lit the campfire, for tomorrow we were starting our search. At dawn we arose to start our search but yet did we know that it was a trick and they were going to capture us at night. Luckily we sailed back to

Dogs live here.
If you don't want to be
greeted with paws and
swinging tails, don't
come inside because
dogs live here.
If you don't like the feel
of a cold nose or wet tongue,
don't come inside because
dogs live here.
If you don't want to step
over many scattered
toys, don't come inside
because dogs live here.
If you think that a home
ought to smell of perfume
don't come inside because
dogs live here.
If you don't mind all of this
come inside because
dogs live here.

Shivers part 1
The drastic drops in the weather, meant that the minimum temperature was at a record low in
Monday, a lovely day, flowers blossoming everywhere. Well in this case there were no flowers, instead dirty old weeds and I don’t think they were going on that well either. As I woke up, the only thing I could think about was the heat vent. I would have loved to stand above it and feel the warm air all around me, but still, our heater was electric. Then the feeling of hot, trickling water popped into my mind, a shower! I could almost feel the luxurious, warm water trickling down my back, but then I realized that the hot water system would probably be frozen! Then I remembered that I had to practice my tennis, but I didn’t think that was going to happen anytime soon.
“Breakfast!” I exclaimed under my breath.
“I have to have breakfast!”
I said it so loudly I think I was dad’s alarm clock for the day. McDonald’s was the first thing that popped into my mind, I could almost smell the fresh rashes of bacon sizzling in the pan, “Well I’m off then.” I said.
I left so quickly dad couldn’t even get a word in. In fact dad didn’t get a word in and before long I was eating those fresh rashes of bacon and scrambled eggs. As always I spilt it all down the front of my shirt ( I would tell you how I managed to do that, but it’s a long story ).
When I got home, dad asked where I had been, “No time for that.” I said.
“No time for what?”
“Don’t worry.”
Straight away I was in my room cutting up round pieces of card, I took out an orange crayon and coloured in the round pieces of card. I took a roll of my spotted masking tape and hung the suns up. Now I felt as if the sun was out, so I leapt outside in the freezing cold, thinking that the sun was out. The big, jolly smile had been wiped off my face, I saw the cold icicles falling from the frosty sky. I looked up and the sky was the colour of dirty dishwater! I just lay in bed and read a book, all day long. Then the wind howled….

The Jade Horse
During the frosty blizzards of Friday evening, I was stuck at the bus depot in Civic. I looked up at the sky and it was the colour of dirty dishwater. I was awaiting a bus, which had my uncle in it, who had just been to
When we finally came across our destination (home) we had to unpack all the expensive valuables of Andrew’s. Oh, and I meant to say that most of his valuables were delicate dragons carved out of glass and jade.
The presents were being opened; Nana was fisrt. She got a green horse carved out of real jade. Dad got a piece of yellow jade carved into a vase. I got a necklace with a piece of green jade at the end. t

Seashell
They've brought me a seashell.
Inside it the water dances like a ballerina,
And sways with the sea.
My heart fills with sea salt,
The fragrance is so strong.
They've brought me a seashell.

The Day I Was Turned Into A Thing!
It was Monday, yep another lousy, old Monday! I was stuck inside doing my homework, the homework that you set for me. I didn’t like it, so I went outside to go and splash in the puddles. Then Mum came out and said in a crabby, old voice, “Do your homework!”
I turned around and ignored her and Mum walked inside. Then, a voice came out of no where saying, “Well, are you going to do your homework? If you don’t, you will be turned into a thing!”
I thought it was in my head so I walked off. Then, KAPOW! I didn’t know what I was, I ran inside to do my homework, but I couldn’t! I had three fingers on each hand and no toes! I looked in the mirror and my huge eye was wide open. What could I do? I leapt outside and everyone was running away from me, I was a complete and total failure!
Luckily that voice came back and asked if I was going to do my homework. I replied like this, “ Growga ag growl.”
He knew what I was saying and turned me back into a human. By that time my homework was overdue!
That’s my excuse for not doing my homework!

The Day I Learned Magic
It was Monday and for some weird reason my body clock just didn’t want to get up. I could not thrust myself up! It was like some sort of barrier, it was like magic! Then again, I suppose I was in a force field (my sleeping bag) and I was in the middle of nowhere. Still, how was that meant to change anything? I couldn’t get up if my life depended on it. What was I going to do?
“Get up dear!” my mum exclaimed from the other side of the tent. “You don’t want to miss out on my famous soup!”
Now, let’s talk about her soup. For a start it isn’t soup, it’s slop. Famous, I don’t even think she could make a famous cookie, let alone a famous dish! Still I had to do what I had to do and bad things come with the good. Not that there was any good.
Then, all of the sudden I could make it disappear and I thought to myself, if I can make things disappear, can I make things appear? Then I decided that I wanted to make things appear, like a big, wild bear! Suddenly, out of the trees plummeted a big, wild bear! I didn’t know how to reverse it. Then mum said a spell and it vanished!
Boy, am I never going to do that again!
